About Us
Andrea and Cody first met on Coffee Meets Bagel in July of 2014. Both were at a transition point in their lives, having just started new jobs a few months earlier, and both joined CMB after being spurred on by friends (Jackie/Mahvish for Andrea, and Nathan for Cody... thanks y'all!). Andrea had been active on CMB for a few months, but she was Cody's second match ever (d'awww).
Our first date was in Westwood, NJ, just a simple dinner at the pub followed by watching Top Hat at the tiny 90-seat theater in town showing classic films (which we had all to ourselves!). The next day, Cody woke up with a bad case of strep throat that lasted 2 weeks, and so we resigned ourselves to texting back and forth, until both of us hit our monthly texting plan limits and had to pay $0.50/msg to keep in touch.
Thankfully, we narrowly avoided bankruptcy by moving to Hangouts, but even that proved too limiting over time. The more we talked, the more we liked each other. But ::gasp:: the more we liked each other, the more we wanted to talk and share and be together. We tried everything to deal with our condition, from going on trips, to moving in together, to finally getting engaged even. Alas, it's been a never-ending cycle of falling more in love with each other, and we hope it continues forever.
Wedding Weekend
Welcome Party
We're holding a casual welcome party on Saturday night (Aug 5) before the reception, so everyone can get to know each other and we can spend more time with all of you. We're still looking for a venue, but there will probably be drinks and snacks, and you can drop in anytime. Check back here closer to the date for more details!

Dress Code
We don't want the dress code to be super strict or anything, so let's just say, we're going for a classy jazzy Sunday brunch kind-of-feel, and we recommend fancy garden party style attire. Think that one engagement-party-in-the-garden-with-Ryan-Gosling-on-piano scene in the 2nd half of La La Land. (note: Ryan Gosling optional).

SNA and LGB are closer to Fullerton, but LAX probably has a better selection of direct flights and flight times; ONT is a bit of a wildcard, but may work better for some people whose routes happen to line up.
Please leave extra time to account for LA-area traffic, though Saturday/Sunday traffic should be much lighter.
Hotel
We have a block of rooms for $139/night at the Marriott at Cal State Fullerton, which we suggest as the first choice (must book by July 14, 2017). We'll also be providing shuttle service from the hotel to the Muck (3.8 miles, ~10 min from the Muck). Finally, if you'd be interested in sharing accommodations with other guests (i.e. splitting a room, or sharing an Airbnb house or something), please leave us a note and we'll try to help.
FAQ
Why Fullerton, CA?
We realized that no matter where we picked as a venue, many of our friends and family would have to travel long-distance. We ultimately decided to pick a venue in Orange County, because (1) it was closer to Andrea's parents and family in the area, and (2) it's sunny and lovely SoCal. And it was really a combination of kismet and hard work by Andrea, that led us to the beautiful and historic Muckenthaler mansion.

Do you two have a registry?
No, we don't! What's most important for us is truly the gift of your presence. Since our friends and family are scattered all over the world, we don't get to see you enough. Odds are, one of us hasn't even met you at all yet! This is basically our one opportunity to gather everyone we love, meet each other's loved ones, introduce you to each other, and have a big party!
We realize that asking everyone to travel to California is hard enough as it is, and we don't want to add any more financial pressure on top of that. Also, we've lived together for 2 years now, so we've already got all the kitchen gadgets and home decor we need. We appreciate all your love and support, but please don't worry about gifts! Just come celebrate with us!
Any recommendations for where to stay or what to do nearby?
Sure! As far as where to stay, we recommend using our room block at the Marriott at Cal State Fullerton. The hotel is adjacent to the campus of CSUF, which includes the lovely Fullerton Arboretum.
Fullerton also has a ton of restaurants, bars, and cafes with a great mix of interesting cuisines. Gorge yourself at Mr BBQ. Relax at Tranquil Tea Lounge. Sing your heart out at Ziller Karaoke. There's even a Taiwanese bakery!
Neighboring Anaheim is the home of Disneyland, and of course there are millions of things to explore in the greater LA area.
